Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.

This hero came in the form of a brave, 10-year-old Baltimore boy named Logan Wilks who jumped into action when his mother needed it most.

Logan is the oldest of two kids. They were home with their stepmom Tonya Caver when she started to feel distress from an asthma attack and bronchial spasms. Thankfully, Logan knew exactly what to do in a medical emergency. He called 911 and told the operator that his stepmom collapsed on the floor and couldn't breathe.

Emergency responders were able to arrive on the scene and give Tonya medical attention because Logan stayed cool and called 911 so quickly.

"I always call him my sidekick, but this time he was a true hero...If it were not for his quick thinking, I don't know if I would be alive to tell the tale. Thank you, Logan." This was the sweet, heartfelt statement Tonya made about her stepson.

City officials heard about Logan's heroic act and decided to honor him. Baltimore's Mayor Catherine Pugh along with Fire Chief Niles Ford presented Logan with a certificate honoring his heroism. Logan looked proud in his navy blazer when he received his recognition.

"You're an example of the kind of student and young man we know will grow up to be a great person," said Mayor Pugh "Have you thought about being a firefighter?"

"A little," was Logan's reply.

We know that a smart, brave and responsible boy like Logan will succeed at whatever it is he wants to do in the future.

Logan is also quite humble. When his stepmom sent him a text thanking him while she recovered, his response was "no biggie."

Well we think it's a biggie, little man. We're proud of you!
