Aaron Hernandez Said He'd Hang Himself Weeks Before The Suicide, According To His Alleged Prison Lover
No one saw Aaron Hernandez’s suicide coming – not even the friend he casually mentioned it to.
New reports claim that Kyle Kennedy, Hernandez’s close friend in prison, heard the ex-NFLer joke about hanging himself weeks before the actual incident.
Much has been rumored about Kennedy’s relationship with Hernandez. Apparently Hernandez gifted Kennedy a $50,000 watch, left one of his three suicide notes specifically for the convicted bank robber, and the two even requested to share a cell – although that was denied considering the size differential between a former Patriots tight end and the relatively tiny Kennedy. “So that if an altercation breaks out, there is at least the appearance of equity,” explained Kennedy’s lawyer.
There were also stories that Kennedy and Hernandez had been lovers; some have strongly denied these claims, but Kennedy himself has been unable to clarify due to be kept on suicide watch since his friend’s death (one of the stipulations is that he can’t talk to the press).
But now Kennedy, through his lawyer, says Hernandez had suggested he might end his life weeks earlier in a letter, when he wrote, “I think I’m going to hang it up LOL,” in a note. Kennedy dismissed that line as a joke at the time.
Of course, everyone’s wondering about the true nature of their relationship, and just what made the two men so close. Well, don’t worry, Kennedy promises to reveal all soon:
“Sometime in the near future he personally will discuss the relationship,” said the same lawyer. “He wants those words to come directly from his mouth to the world.”
Even after getting hammered with questions by reporters, the lawyer only admitted that Kennedy and Hernandez were, “close friends,” with a “very close relationship.”
Who knows what that means -- but we’ll likely find out soon enough.
