Angry Wife Gets Back At Husband By Forcing-Feeding Son Cold Medicine, Then Burning The Body

They say that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but this is taking things too damned far. A Maryland mom force-fed her 5-year old son lethal amounts of cough medicine and then burned his body in a car to cover up her heinous crime. 

The bizarre series of events seemed to be born out of 35-year old Narges Shafeirad's anger, jealousy, and revenge directed at her soon-to-be ex-husband. Reportedly, the woman was furious with Hamid Dana, 53, because of the relationship he shared with his nanny. The estranged couple was in the middle of a nasty divorce and custody battle when she decided to murder little Daniel Dana. No one fully understands why she took her rage out on the innocent little boy.

According to the Washington Post, Shafeirad felt she had lost everything including her job, her apartment, and her family. "I was a broken woman," she told the court. "I am still not able to believe that I have lost my son." Her attorney, Melanie Creedon, offered this explanation: "This was an act of a helpless and hopeless, broken woman who had basically reached the end, and who saw no way out," she said.

They paint quite a sympathetic picture, don't they? Truth is that Shafeirad had warned Dana that she would make him regret leaving her. "I will make you cry. You will be sorry," she reportedly told him. So, on the day that their divorce was to be finalized, this supposedly broken woman literally forced their otherwise healthy son to swallow a whole bottle of pills--he had the bruises and abrasions on his face and mouth to prove it. The coroner said that he had 150 percent of the amount of diphenhydramine in his system that would kill an adult.  She then stuffed his dead body behind the seat of a car, set it ablaze to cover up her crime, and then lied to police about how the fire started. 

Now Shafeirad will spend the next 50 years of her life behind bars thanks to her guilty plea. She tortured her only son, murdered him, and burned his body all to get back at her husband. Hope it was worth it.
