Holiday Brawl! Baby Caught In Mall Fight When Women Start Swinging!
We really don't understand this one here. WHY Y'ALL FIGHTING WITH YOUR BABIES AROUND???
This is the question we have for the women involved in a brawl that broke out on Sunday afternoon during the busy holiday shopping season at a Florida mall.
According to WFLA News, the graphic video shows a group of mostly young Black women punching and kicking one another at the Edison Mall in Fort Myers. During the chaos, a woman pushes a child’s stroller And kicks one of the women in the head.
She then abandons her baby as she is being chased down the hallway.
Take a look for yourself:
WHAT A MESS!!! THESE BABIES COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT!!!
Fort Myers Police said they were called around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday for a disturbance of peace call at the mall. When officers arrived, the scene had already broken up, but approximately two hours later, police were called back regarding apparent injuries stemming from the fight.
So why were they fighting in the first place?
Police believe that two victims, Marlesha Williams, 20, and Verdasia Eleaby, 18, were attacked because the other women believed the duo had something to do with the murder of Samuel Jones. Apparently, Jones and another young man were found shot to death on Saturday.
News-Press.com reported that before the fight went down, someone walked up to the young women as they were leaving Victoria's Secret and said, "His blood's on you."
Then all hell broke loose.
Apparently, there were folks who tried to stop the fight, like a Victoria's Secret manager. But instead of breaking it up, she got dragged down in the fight.
So what's gonna happen with these women?
Not only have charged been filed against the perpetrators, but the Florida Department of Children & Families has opened a child protection investigation into the incident at the mall.
"We have not had prior involvement with the child or mother pictured in the video," DCF spokeswoman Natalie Harrell told the media.
Obviously, some shoppers were shook given the violent nature of this attack, to which mall officials stress they are committed to providing a safe environment for all of its shoppers.
"The safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees is our top priority," said Ruben Irizarry, the mall's general manager.
"We are working closely with the Fort Myers Police Department as they investigate the incident."
Listen...it's not always possible to stop a fight from happening in public. But this is why we like shopping online.
Less crowds, less drama! No violence!
