Thanks to one obnoxious Twitter troll, Bella Thorne just became the latest star to open up about sexual assault and harassment.

Late last week, the 20-year-old Famous in Love star posted a photo of herself wearing a bright purple suit (below). She decorated the image with all sorts of colorful scribbles, making herself look like a devil standing in front of a Seattle Seahawks-themed firework:

While the majority of the human race was cool about the image, one troll just couldn’t help him/herself:

Now, when you’re a superstar with nearly 7 million Twitter followers, you’re used to hearing disses from the cheap seats. But something about this reply clearly struck a chord with Thorne, as she promptly responded to the hate-filled message with a shocking revelation:

She posted a seemingly related tweet not long after that response:

This was a moment of vulnerability for Thorne: She could have just let a nasty slur go, but she instead chose to highlight the moment to show her followers that sometimes the crass crap they throw around thoughtlessly online can be incredibly painful to read.

Thankfully, there are some good people online, too, and the support for Thorne has been pouring in ever since:

Maybe there’s some good in this world after all.
