Birdman Is Dropping 'Rich Gang II,' Meanwhile We're Still Waiting On 'Tha Carter V'
The long-standing feud between Birdman and his "son" Weezy has reached new heights. With the announcement of Rich Gang II: Lifestyles coming out on April 14 coupled with yet ANOTHER promise by Stunna to put out Tha Carter V this year, Lil' Wayne is completely fed up and calls bullsh*t.
According to the Cash Money label head, Rich Gang II is being produced by 808 Mafia. "Bit Back" featuring Baby and Young Thug will be one of the Rich Gang II's highlighted tracks. Curiously, Rich Homie Quan will not appear on this project. "Me and Thug working on a part two right now. That’s what we doing right now, so we looking to drop it probably whenever we say go. But we got a good, solid 10-12 [songs] that we really, really like. Part two gon’ be me and him," Birdman said on Travis Scott's radio show.
But about Wayne's album, Birdman was quoted as saying, "Carter V coming out. It’s definitely coming out. The situation with me and my son … I’mma put all that behind us and just let it move forward." But you didn't hear him mention a date, did you?
TMZ reports that people in Weezy's camp say Birdman is "full of sh*t" for claiming that the album finished in 2013 is "definitely coming out." Weezy's $51 million lawsuit against the label is all the proof anybody needs to know that he wants out. The two have been feuding publicly since 2014 and this just another slap in the face to the rapper and his very loyal fan base.
Maybe there's some hope in all of this. "Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I just wanna see him continue doing what he’s been doing, and I’mma support whatever he’s doing," Martin Shkreli said in a recent interview with Travis Scott and Chase B on their Beats 1 radio show .WAV Radio:
The truth behind the four year delay of Tha Carter V's release is probably far more sinister than the rumors about Birdman robbing Weezy blind. At this point his fans could care less. Will you be copping Rich Gang II ?
