Being pulled over by police officers shouldn't evoke feelings of fear, but sadly, for Black men & women, it's becoming increasingly more terrifying.

Case in point, for Marcus Jeter, that's exactly what happened. The 30-year-old Bloomfield, New Jersey man was viciously assaulted by multiple police offers during a routine traffic stop that eventually lead to his arrest for allegedly eluding police, resisting arrest, and assault. That's at least reportedly what the police said. Then, the dashcam footage from the night of his arrest was obtained and the ugly truth was revealed. This one (like all the others) is unbelievable, fam.

Marcus Jeter was arrested following an incident that caused officers to be called to his girlfriend's home. No charges were filed and Jeter calmly exited the home after briefly speaking with officers. This is where things take a turn. As shown in the video, for no apparent reason, the Bloomfield officers begin to pursue Jeter who is forced to pull over. Despite having his hands in the air, both cops immediately pull weapons on Jeter, who then began to fear for his life.

Jeter's story was even considered unbelievable by his own attorney until he was shown the footage. Moments after the two officers pulled weapons on the unarmed 30-year-old, a third officer arrives and crashes his car into Jeter's -- a fact that officers left entirely out of court documents-- before smashing in his car window and proceeding to beating and assaulting the young man. An officer can be heard accusing Jeter of grabbing his weapon and resisting arrest, all while Jeter's hands remain in the air.

As soon as prosecutors saw the footage, which police officers reportedly tried to conceal, all charges against Jeter were dismissed. The tables quickly turned on the officers--for once! Oddly enough, the original Investigation by Bloomfield Police Department's Internal Affairs division found no wrongdoing by police officers. Currently, two of the officers in the video have been indicted. While both officers plead not guilty to tampering and assault, so far only one has been charged and given a mandatory 5 year sentence -- with no option for parole -- while the second officer still awaits trial. A third officer quietly plead guilty to tampering and retired.

Law enforcement needs to properly train police officers in America how to effectively deal with citizens, especially unarmed citizens like Jeter. Wake up. #BlackLivesMatter
