Brad Pitt Reportedly Texting Jennifer Aniston As He Struggles With His Second Divorce

What year is it, 1999?

Us Weekly is reporting that Brad Pitt is texting *Jennifer Aniston* about his ongoing divorce from Angelina Jolie. (They always come crawling back at some point, don't they?)

Pitt and Aniston dated in the late '90s before tying the knot in 2000. They divorced about five years later — allegedly because Pitt met Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. 

The 53-year-old actor must have deleted Aniston's number from his phone after their split, because according to one insider who spoke with Us, he had to track it down via "a tangled web" of contacts so he could wish her a happy birthday this February.

"They started talking once he wished her a happy birthday," the unnamed source explained.

Now, Pitt is reportedly confiding in Aniston, 48, about his and Jolie's battle for joint custody over their six children. 

"Brad told her he’s having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past," the source told Us. 

We would kill to know Jen's inner monologue as these texts pop up on her phone... allegedly. It's probably something like this:

Don't get your hopes up for a reunion just yet, though: Aniston is happily married to actor / director Justin Theroux, who's not threatened by Jen and Brad's rekindled relationship as long as they keep things platonic.

"Justin is OK with them being friends," the source told Us. Theroux apparently knows that "Jen just wants to be nice."
