Bride Gives Dad 'Purity' Certificate to Prove She's a Virgin on Wedding Day

Who knew staying a virgin until your wedding day could cause so much negativity?

Wel, that's exactly the case for 30-year-old Brelyn Bowman. The problem? She presented her father with a "Certificate of Purity" on her wedding day last month... posted the picture to Instagram ... and the criticism started immediately.

"Another one of my favs! Dancing with my first love! I was able to present a certificate of purity to him signed by my doctor that my hymen was still intact. Also the covenant he gave me when I was 13. When you honor God, your life will automatically honor others. I love you daddy @drmikefreeman," Bowman said.

"No one wants to hear about your hymen," Claudia.Kory wrote under the picture.

"She probably is pretty dumb to 'save' herself until marriage while her husband did a bit of f***ing before marriage himself. But no one's gonna check for evidence for him right??" Vitanr fired off.

"The past is filled with misogynistic, sexist, patriarchy practices. That's why they're in the past where they should stay," _Slenderella said.

But Bowman and her father, who is a pastor, aren't phased by the drama.

"Who knew that a pic like this would get so much negativity," her father Dr. Mike Freeman posted on Instagram. "But a natural man will not understand things of the Spirit for they are foolishness to them."
