Britney Spears 'Lifetime' Biopic Trailer & Photos Released & People Are SMH At The Casting

When news broke in August that Lifetime would be creating a Britney Spears biopic, it took us by surprise. It comes as a shock that Lifetime would try to recreate Brit's life considering the pop legend is only 34-years-old and is still creating music.

Spears didn't even give the network her blessing in the first place, so most of us are left asking, why is this even happening?

The biopic will star Natasha Bassett as Britney Spears and Clayton Chitty will star as Kevin Federline. Just try to ignore the fact that they both don't even kind of resemble the iconic couple...

Bassett, the actress who will be portraying Spears, is pretty passionate about Britney. "I have a huge amount of respect for Britney and for her career," Bassett said. "I listened to her music so much growing up. I have videos of me as a tween practicing her songs in the mirror with a hairbrush in my hand."
