Cardi B Being Sued for $5 Mil By Guy Who Says She Jacked His Photo For Mixtape Cover
Would you agree that one of the realist lines ever spoken in hip-hop was “the more money we come across, the more problems we see?” We bet Cardi B would agree!
Riding high on the top of the charts with her #1 hit “Bodak Yellow” and new engagement to Migos rapper Offset, Cardi B was just slapped with a $5 million lawsuit.
Ouch! More problems indeed.
In documents obtained by TMZ, the model on the cover of her 2016 debut mixtape “Gangsta Bi**h Music Vol. 1” is upset with the Bronx rapper for using his image. In case you are not up on Cardi B - we’ll forgive you this time - here is a peek at the image in question:
The name of the model seen between her legs is Kevin Brophy. He says he's 100% certain the image is him, citing that he has had his back tattoo for over 10 years and could spot his distinctive image of a tiger battling a snake anywhere.
Brophy says he had no idea his image was being used and that he has never seen or spoken with the rapper. The model even says he had no idea who Cardi B even was until a friend pointed out to him how crazy it was he was giving a rapper named Cardi B head on the cover of her mixtape.
The most awkward part of this entire story, however, is the fact that Brophy says his 5-year-old son has seen the image and keeps asking him who the girl is and what is he is doing in the picture.
As of now, there has been no word from Cardi or her team, but we say in the meantime keep making money moves Cardi!
