Is anyone else sick of celebs who play it safe on the red carpet?

Seriously. I get wanting to make the "Best Dressed List," but what makes a celeb truly brave and fierce is her willingness to push the envelope, to take a huge fashion risk. Love or hate the below outfits, you can't deny wearing them took major balls!

Björk at the 2001 Academy Awards

The legend goes that an ugly duckling transforms into a beautiful swan. Something got lost in translation from legend to reality. That being said, there's no other celebrity that could pull this off. The external craziness matches what I imagine to be Björk's internal craziness.

Nicki Minaj at the 2012 Grammy Awards

Is this what Little Red Riding Hood looks like as an adult? An innocent children's story turns into a nightmare, but it's this nightmarish vision that keeps our eyes glued to the dress. As the song goes, Nicki really is a "mothaf*ckin' monster!"

Uma Thurman at the 2004 Academy Awards

Uma literally looks like she just hopped off the Black Pearl from "Pirates of the Caribbean." I actually think it's a beautiful dress, despite the fact that she's probably going hunting for buried treasure after the awards.

Lil' Kim at the 1999 VMAs

From the purple color to the barely covered left boob, Lil' Kim is crushing this Red Carpet. The outfit brings fashion to a new level while simultaneously induces waves of 90s nostalgia.

Jennifer Lopez at the 2000 Grammy Awards

There's a plunging neckline, and then there's a J. Lo neckline, which sank deeper than the Titanic. Plus, what is up with all the nature imagery? Honestly, it matters not. She still looks hot AF.

Amber Rose at the 2015 VMAs

This is more than just a sexy jumpsuit; it's a reclaiming of Rose's womanhood, not allowing labels thrown at her to bring her own. She stands up to slut-shaming and looks sexy while doing so. BRAVO!

Cher at the 1986 Academy Awards

Only a diva of Cher's caliber could pull this bikini-style outfit off. If I had that bod, I'd be rocking the same ensemble every night.

Rihanna at the 2014 CFDA Awards

I think Rihanna got slightly confused on the definition of clothes. Most people think clothes are meant to cover up the skin. Rihanna went the opposite direction, but honestly, I'm more into Rihanna's interpretation.

When was the last time you dared to take a fashion risk?
