Here's what we know: A few weeks ago, Diddy Tweeted that he wanted to buy the NFL's Carolina Panthers. Then, Colin Kaepernick jumped in saying he was down to join Diddy as a co-owner.

BET!!!!

So...they had a pretty long convo to talk about their options...and Black Twitter rejoiced. But, before we pop out the champagne and celebrate, reports say that the duo could face some competition.

News reports suggest that none other than WWE owner/CEO Vince McMahon has his eyes set on the professional football team as well.

But this all based on the opinion of former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman, who claims he wouldn't be surprised if the pro-wrestling guru is ready to cut that check soon.

"Where's [McMahon's] home base? Do you know?" Coachman asked TMZ Sports

"North Carolina. He's got a restaurant in North Carolina. Hell, [McMahon's son-in-law] Triple H's bachelor party was in Raleigh, North Carolina."

Coachman added: "All this came down the last couple of days that P. Diddy is trying to get together a group, but yet the old crotchety owners wouldn't want P. Diddy and his crew in there, which I think would be a mistake by the owners. But Vince has legitimate money, he’s a billionaire, he could come up with the funds and he’s also at the age where other owners would respect that."

Peep for yourself other reasons why Coachman believes his former boss could be snatching up this team anytime soon:

Listen: We get that McMahon has money. Forbes says he has a net worth of $1.57 billion, which is more than Diddy and Kap combined.

As we wrote before, Diddy's net worth is estimated at $820 million. That will not be nearly enough to buy the Panthers, who are valued at $2.3 billion, which could easily go up to $3 billion. And Kap is worth a little over $40 million.

Bu be clear: We're STILL rooting on Team Diddy to find the funds to be able to purchase this team. Because we need a Black NFL owner in our lifetime.

Do it for the culture fellas! We got your back!!!

FAM: Do you believe that Diddy and Company will be able to buy the Panthers? Weigh in...
