Okay, fair warning: this video of a severe car accident is severely disturbing.

For your sake and our own, so that you can at least know going into this; we are not total monsters, we are going to "spoil" the end for you: there were injuries, but no fatalities. So when you watch this, you can at least know that all of the people involved in this wreck survived.

And as you are watching this, you will think of almost nothing but "HOLY SH*T EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS WRECK SURVIVED," because that is the exact extent to which it seems that no one could possibly survive this wreck, and that is how disturbing this video is.

Okay, we've prepared you as much as we can. You ready? Here goes:

AHHHHHHHHHH. Right???? It's disturbing AF! That car was literally cut in HALF! How does a car get literally cut in HALF???? And how does anyone actually survive that???????

Okay, so here's what happened

According to the California Highway Patrol, Apol Lansang, 25, of Sonoma, was driving her Chevy Impala south on Highway 101 around 8 a.m. on a Saturday, when she was struck by the northbound Toyota Sequoia. The driver Kevin Fenty, 27, of Huntington Beach, drifted across the highway into Lansang’s lane.

The impact sliced Lansang’s car in half right down the middle, sending the car’s entire passenger side onto the embankment. Fenty was thrown from the Sequoia by the impact. Both drivers were taken to the hospital — Lansang with minor injuries and Fenty with moderate injuries, according to the CHP.

“The scene was, it was pretty intense,” Sgt. Jason Bahlman, who has been with the CHP for 16 years, told the Press Democrat. “It was definitely one of the most severely damaged cars I’ve ever seen.”

The case is still under investigation, but drugs are believed to be a factor in this car accident, which very well could have been deadly (and certainly looked like it was). Whatever you believe—either this was divine intervention or divinely good karma or just dumb good luck—there is no doubt that both of these people are extremely lucky to be alive.
