Customers And Staff Defend Woman Who Got Attacked For Breastfeeding At Target

The world can be full of total a-holes, but there are also super nice people out there to make life a little better.

When a women was breast feeding her baby in the Starbucks area of a Connecticut Wal-Mart, a man started harassing her. This wasn't some spurned ex or the breast feeding police, this was a total stranger.

So, at complete random, a big dude  at least in his late 40's decided to give a woman and her tiny baby crap about breast feeding in public. The man continued to yell and called her a whore, so she started recording. 

The man began screaming at the Target staff demanding a refund. How dare he have to see a baby eat while he drinks coffee with steamed up milk from a cows teat?

The mom was obviously frightened at the man's bizarre rage and erratic behavior. Luckily for her, staff and strangers came to help her.

More than three members of the staff stood between the angry man and the mom, to keep her out of his sight and physically protect her if he did anything crazy.

Another woman stood by her side and told her everything was going to be fine.  "You shouldn't be ashamed of feeding your baby, okay? He can go the other way," the woman said making sure the man could hear her.

The man came back with the witty retort "What are you, my mother?" Wow. Burn. But the woman wouldn't back down. She said he was being disrespectful and he pulled the classic two-year-old comeback "she's disrespecting me." When you have the debate skills of a toddler, maybe you shouldn't start screaming at mothers in public.

The staff escorted the man out and the mom was nearly in tears of joy that so many people would come to help her.

The hypocrisy of any man criticizing a woman for breast feeding is just mind boggling.  The mom was sitting quietly in a corner, purposely far from the point of sale. She didn't cover herself completely, but an ad for bras 50 feet away would show more boob than she did. Honestly, if the mom had just decided to flash her titties at him, he probably would have been thrilled. But using breast for their original purpose? Disgusting!

So, unless this guy never watches porn, never looked at a Victoria's Secret catalogue and makes sure his wife (more likely ex-wife) never took her top off, it's astounding he'd have the balls to publicly call her a whore.

Thank God that there are people out there with compassion and souls. Please, if you ever see a woman getting crap for breast feeding, be as brave as these Target employees and make her the harasser feels like the complete moron they are.
