She Snapped, Shot Her Two Babies In The Head & Made Her 11-Year-Old Lay The Bodies On The Lawn
Parents are supposed to love and protect their children, not take their lives before they've hit puberty. Eight-year-old Khmorra Helton and 6-year-old Kaiden Helton were two siblings filled with hopes and dreams of living long lives, that is until their mother, 30-year-old Claudena Helton, killed them in a shocking double murder.

It was around 10:00 a.m. when the disturbed woman shot two of her children in the head before asking her eldest daughter, an 11-year-old, to help her drag the bodies to the front lawn. Neighbors told police they saw their bodies of the children laying in the grass and Claudena wandering around naked.
“She just stared at me,” a neighbor told CBS Pittsburgh. “I yelled to the neighbor to give me a sheet and I covered her up.”

The frenzied scene looked like something out of the movies when police arrived. "The two children were in the front lawn of the home and people were performing life-saving measures," Cleveland.com reports. Khmorra and Kaiden were rushed to Dayton's Memorial Hospital, but doctors were unable to save their lives.
Dayton police Det. Rod Roberts wrote in his statement that Claudena made admissions that she murdered her children to "save them from the evils of the world."

Claudena's past was riddled with violence and abuse. Lynntonio S. Watson is listed as Khmorra's father, and court records show that just three years ago he was convicted of murder and felonious assault. He was involved in a shooting that injured two people and killed 19-year-old Martell Gray. In 2010 Kaiden's father, Stephen J. Fletcher, was sentenced to 123 days in jail following an incident with Claudena. The police report states that Fletcher punched the Claudena in the face, threatened her life, and choked her until she almost passed out.
Local station WHIO-TV found a 2014 police report WHIO-TV found a 2014 police report showed that Khmorra's teacher became concerned for the little girl after she noticed that the child complained to her classmates about the painful bruises on her arm.
Khmorra told teachers and authorities "that her mother hit her with the buckle end of a belt" resulting in injuries on her cheek, lip, and discoloration on her thigh. Although police investigated potential child abuse in the home, obviously the children were allowed to stay with their mother.

Claudena was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder and felonious assault of which she entered a plea of not guilty. However, following the deaths of both of children, her murder charges are sure to be updated.
