Disney is Planning On Making a Ton More Live Action Remakes After the Success of The Jungle Book
If you haven't seen the remake of the Disney classic, The Jungle Book, you're missing out! This remake is full of suspense, amazement, and family friendly action. With some Disney magic of all CGI animation, The Jungle Book was a success for the company and a win for us as an audience. Not too long ago, we were also pleased with the making of Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent, both Disney hits that did not disappoint. Luckily, the entertainment will keep on coming as Disney plans on recreating many more live action remakes of the Disney classic movies.
Cruella de Vil
From 101 Dalmatians comes a remake with the villain of the movie, Cruella de Vil. Emma Stone will be portraying the villainess that everyone loves to hate, just as Angelina Jolie did in Maleficent. Starting production by as early as January, we'll be able to see Emma Stone strut her stuff with her fur coat on and mean face ready in a few years.
Jungle Cruise
Another Disney favorite we will be seeing in the near future is a movie based on a favorite Disneyland ride, the Jungle Cruise. A fan favorite, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, will be starring in this original movie transporting you from the amusement park ride to the African settings on screen. Disney saw success of making a ride into a movie with Pirates of the Caribbean, so this is sure to be another Disney hit.
Tinker Bell
Tinker Bell has been confirmed to be made into a live action movie with the lovable Reese Witherspoon playing the sweet little fairy. With her adorable voice, who better would play Peter Pan's fairy friend?
Mary Poppins
This movie will be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Placed twenty years after the original movie with the amazing Julie Andrews, Emily Blunt will step in as the loved nanny. The film will center around the now-grown Michael Banks and his children hitting the theaters Christmas day in 2018.
Dumbo
The genius movie maker Tim Burton will be directing the live action movie of Dumbo, a Disney favorite. This animated classic will be turned into a live action CHI hybrid such as they did with The Jungle Book. With no release date lined up, this movie will most likely be a darker and weirder version of the original.
Maleficent 2
Angelina's highest grossing movie, Maleficent, is set to hit the theaters again with a sequel to her hit Disney movie. With such a success with the first, there was no question whether or not to continue on the story of Maleficent. Now we will be able to see what she can do with her wings back.
