DuckTales Reboot Teaser Reveals The Cartoon Is Making A Comeback In Summer 2017
Entertainment Weekly

Woo-oo! They say that all good things must end, but it seems like all great things must come back. This proved true recently when news broke recently that Disney XD was reviving one of the best cartoons from back in the late ‘80s, DuckTales!

So while kids today may be tuning in this coming summer because it’s just another animated series to fill the void between playtime and snack time, we’ll be tuning in to see if this new school version of our feathered loves holds up to what we remember.

We once watched as Donald Duck's nephews headed off to live with their great-uncle Scrooge McDuck after Donald joins the Navy. Okay, well that was a factoid this girl did not remember. (thanks Wikipedia.) But what I think we all tuned in week after week for was the adventures (and trouble) Huey, Dewey and Louie got into. Also who could forget Scrooge jumping into that room full of gold coins and of course that kickass theme song that slays to this day!

DuckTales isn’t the only nostalgic animated favorite heading back. The Powerpuff Girls returned in 2016 and while it had some haters, kids like my nephew absolutely adored it. Then of course you have the many versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The other big one that has '90s kids flipping out - Hey Arnold! Unlike a new series DuckTales is getting, Nickelodeon announced they were instead pushing out two Hey Arnold! movies for fans both new and old. Even though we know the average age of those watching will likely be 30.

What other shows from then would you like to see come back? If they are going to tackle DuckTales, can someone get that Chip N' Dale Rescue Ranger movie started back up? Also, Darkwing Duck and if we're going based off stellar theme songs alone - Gummi Bears deserve some revival love. Basically, just take an after school lineup from the '80s or '90s and have at it because they were all bomb.

Whether we get every single show from our childhood back in action is up to channels like Nickelodeon and Disney, but in the meantime we'll take whatever we can. Now excuse us while we wait for DuckTales to come our way in the summer of 2017.
