Gigi Hadid is Getting ROASTED on Twitter for This Melania Trump Impression at the AMAs!

Maybe she should stick to the modeling.

Gigi Hadid decided to jab at Melania Trump at the American Music Awards, and the reaction has been way worse than she probably expected.

Hadid was co-hosting the event with SNL’s Jay Pharoah, and apparently thought his comedic chops and impersonation skills would rub off on her. As you can see below, that’s really, really not the case:

“I love my husband, President Barack Obama. And our children, Sasha and Malia.”

Alright, objectively that’s kind of funny. It’s poking at Mrs. Trump’s Republican National Convention snafu where she plagiarized a speech by Michelle Obama.

But A) you need to be able to do a passable Melania impression to make it work, and B) even if it does work, you’ve immediately pissed off the half of America that voted for Trump.

The audience chuckled at the joke, so Gigi was probably feeling good -- until she looked at Twitter:
