GiGi Hadid Kicked A Creep's Ass After He Assaulted Her In Milan
Some prankster pervert assaulted supermodel GiGi Hadid as she was leaving a fashion show in Milan on Thursday, and she rightfully fought him off.
The random guy, who was later identified as Vitalii Sediuk, ran through security, grabbed Hadid, and picked her up off the ground in front of a post-Max Mara show crowd, Us Weekly reported. As she realized what was happening, Hadid threw punches and elbowed him until he dropped her and ran off.
“Let go of me! Who the fuck are you, you piece of shit?" she yelled as he scurried away.
Later that day, Hadid took to Twitter to call out media reports that said she overreacted and mislabeled her attacker as a fan.
"Many news outlets decided to use this, frankly, traumatizing incident as a way to attack Gigi, with the Daily Mail saying she 'lashed out' at an 'over eager fan' and The Sun saying her 'aggressive' reaction was 'not model behavior,' " wrote The Huffington Post.
At least one fan got it right:
GiGi's mom Yolanda Foster praised her quick response, tweeting that "NOBODY has the right to touch you like that."
Sediuk, a Ukrainian rando who calls himself a "prankster," is infamous for publicly harassing celebrities including Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, and Miranda Kerr. He's best known for crawling under and sticking his head up America Ferrera's dress at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, and was thrown out of the United States that same year for punching Brad Pitt in the face on the red carpet, according to US Weekly. He released his own statement after the Thursday assault, saying he was just trying to make a point.
"While I consider Gigi Hadid beautiful, she and her friend Kendall Jenner have nothing to do with high fashion. By doing this, I encourage the fashion industry to put true talents on the runway and Vogue covers instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram," Sediuk told The Hollywood Reporter. "You can call it a manifest or a protest. This is also a wake-up call for Anna Wintour, who turned Vogue into a tabloid by putting Kardashians and other similar celebrities on a cover of a well respected magazine."
Apparently, when the Reporter asked him about the allegations that his "stunt" is just plain harassment, he said, "Don't be overdramatic."
Ugh, get a life. Women don't owe you ANYTHING.
GiGi herself seems to have moved on from the incident, posting a gorgeous shot of her and her equally successful sister, Bella, on Instagram later Thursday night. Girl power!
