How Does Each Country Feel About "Your Number" of Sexual Partners
It's a question we've all been asked by our romantic interests but only truly answered to our closest friends: "What is your number?" How many people you've been with has been a tricky subject for couples as we're constantly being told to be both experienced but not TOO experienced. Superdrug Online Doctor and Pharmacy Service conducted a survey of 2,000 people in different countries and asked where they draw the line between "conservative" and "promiscuous". For the record, we think you should have whatever number makes you happy!
Surprisingly, the average number that men and women think is 'too promiscuous' was pretty equal. Men answered that line was 14 partners and for women it was 15.2.
That was the average among all participants, though. Once you start to break it down by country, it got pretty interesting! Turns out Austrians must be getting it on quite a bit because they answered that someone with 7 partners was too conservative! Meanwhile, France is still for lovers as they had the highest threshold for the 'ideal' number of partners, answering that having 10 is the sweet spot.

Also, turns out people are a little NOSY about this intel, too. About 30% of men and women want to know how many people you've been with in the first month. And another 10% or so think that's none of your business!
Okay, so we know how each country feels about 'your number'... but
that's only if you are being truthful! Superdrug found that most people
(58.6% of men and 67.4% of women) are truthful about the number of
partners they've been with. However, and no surprise here, 17.5% of men
inflated how many people they had been with. Both genders also sometimes
downplayed their number, with 18.6% of women and 13.7% of men not
counting some of their past partners toward their total.
So, maybe your partner is one of those people demanding to know your number two weeks in. Maybe your answer has a margin of error. No matter what, the fact remains that the Europeans can brag about getting it on a lot more than us on this side of the pond!
