#ShoppingWhileBlack: Police Pull Gun On Innocent Shopper Looking For Hair Conditioner

Not only can driving or walking while Black get you killed, but now we must add shopping while Black. Brooklyn local, Ziggy, was simply shopping for hair conditioner when police drew their guns on him. He shared his nightmare on Twitter.

According to NewsOne, when Ziggy finally decided on a conditioner, he turned to head up the aisle to pay for his purchase. However, he was met by a Nassau County Police officer with his gun pointing straight at him. Ziggy had earphones on the entire time so he couldn't hear what the officer was saying. 

The officer goes down another asile and returns with back up.  A second officer with a gun also aims it at Ziggy. Ziggy reports the second officer screams at him to get on the floor, but Ziggy can barely hear him because of his headphones. 

Ziggy afraid to make a move and take off his headphones immediately goes to the ground and was handcuffed. 

So, why did police target Ziggy, who was just shopping for conditioner? The cashier called 911 because she thought Ziggy was stealing. WTF!

Thankfully Ziggy walked away alive and was able to share his story. So many questions, not enough answers. But one that definitely needs to be addressed...why couldn't the police simply have questioned Ziggy first? In America, it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. He could've been killed. There has to be some level of communication that can de-escalate these situations without harm or possible murder to black men, women & children. What do you think fam? #SoundOff
