High School Principal Forced To Retire Over Racist Videos That Use N-Word
Like most parents, we send our kids off to school hoping that they will be treated with respect and protected from racist nonsense.
What we DO NOT expect is that our kids will be subjected to administration and teachers who hate our kids for the color of their skin!!!
But this is the harsh reality a group of Rhode Island parents had to face when a video surfaced of their children's principal being racist AF!!!
According to WPRI News, the longtime principal of Bishop Hendricken High School, Jay Brennan, has retired after administrators from the private Catholic school were made aware of a clip of him spewing racist and anti-Semitic slurs.
“That way, I could take care of the [n-words] and the [slur for Jewish people],” Brennan said.
OH REALLY??? HOW SWAY???
After WPRI forwarded the school's President John Jackson the video, he had this to say:
“We recently were made aware of a six-second video-clip from the past with a statement made by Mr. Jay Brennan which includes inflammatory language. The video clip, which is under review, has no context and Mr. Brennan was being secretly recorded, but clearly the language is inappropriate. We will not tolerate inflammatory language in any context.”
Jackson added that Brennan “has provided unfailing support for the ideals and mission of our school” and “has continually modeled the goal of promoting diversity within the school and during his tenure.”
Y'all know the local NAACP had something to say about all this:
“I just don’t think a person of that authority should be talking like that. No matter where. No matter when,” Jim Vincent, president of the Providence branch of the NAACP told the news station.
“It hurts. It’s painful. It conjures up a past that was horrific for people both in the black and the Jewish community.”
The New England Anti-Defamation League also had words too.
“Anti-Semitism and racism have no place in public or private conversations,” said regional director Robert Trestan.
“It is a serious concern when offensive slurs are part of the vocabulary of school officials,” he added.
“We expect educators charged with teaching our children to be role models and must hold them accountable.”
Of course after being caught, Brennan is now trying to apologize.
“I am writing this apology, asking for forgiveness for my words which were hurtful, ignorant, and contrary to every Christian belief,” Brennan wrote in a letter he sent to WPRI.
“I would never intend to hurt any of our young men, of any race, color or creed. I wish there was a way that you could know that in my heart, I am not a racist, I am not an anti-Semite and that I truly care for each member of the Hendricken community.”
Hey, if it talks like a racist, and sounds like a racist, it's a racist. What you think, fam?
