Imagine Watching The Northern Lights From Your Bed In A Glass Igloo
Aurora Borealis, (AKA the Northern or Southern Lights) is about the closest thing you can find to real, actual magic.
Radiant swirls and streams of colors explode across the sky, as charged particles from the sun interact with different gasses in the atmosphere near strong magnetic fields.
The Norse identified this epic natural phenomenon as Bifröst, the rainbow bridge to Valhalla.
Viking legend holds that Bifröst connects Asgard, the land of the Gods, with Midgard, the land of men. Pesky giants, they believed, were forever trying to scale the rippling lights to reach the kingdom above (as seen in metaphysical documentary films Thor and Thor 2).
This haunting spectacle of nature has clearly fascinated and inspired humanity for generations, right up to the present. We still look up today in wonder and awe, meditating on the marvels of the Universe.
The view is so majestic, so dazzling, so numinous, that the only two downsides to gazing up at the the kaleidoscope of the Gods might be:
1. Since magnetic activity is the key ingredient, most of the best lights are in very cold places (near one of the poles).
2. Staring up at the sky can give you a crick in the neck.
Luckily for citizens of Earth, this place exists. The crown jewel of this frozen resort is a collection of glass igloos. Yes, you are reading this correctly. Glass freaking igloos.
Specifically, these igloos:

That's right. They did it. Some crazy geniuses created a village for Space Elves in the Nordic forest. Here's what it looks like when the sun comes out at freaking midnight (which it likes to do in summer near the poles):

And here's the point of the whole, magical madness, the money shot you need to see:

WARNING: Falling asleep in a glass igloo to Aurora Borealis may induce dangerously awesome dreams.

Wake up in the morning to a bracing splash of cold air, and walk out like you're on a planet from Star Wars. Then, take a hike! Have an adventure! Meet some sled dogs!

And when you're all tuckered out...

head back your igloo, or one of these Wizard's Cabins, and fall asleep watching angels dance as photons from the sun make love to the magnetic night sky.
Commune with your ancestors. Imagine the Gods of old. Contemplate the miracles of physics. However you drift off in this paradise, it'll beat counting sheep.
