Is Trump The Reason People Don't Care About The Kardashians Anymore?

Have you noticed we've been seeing waaaay less of the Kardashians lately? Despite the fact that the Kardashian family has been experiencing more drama than ever, they're making less headlines. But why? The View's Joy Behar has an answer.

"The Kardashians are losing their mojo since the Trumps are in the White House," Behar told TMZ. "The real reality show is going on in Mar-a-lago and Trump Tower."

Behar has a point. Has Trump been beating the Kardashians at their own game...all while at the White House?

Don't get us wrong, we all crave mindless, escapist entertainment every now and then, but the Kardashians just haven't been doing it for us lately.

A fan even told Cosmo, "My semi-immediate response after the election was, “How are people ever going to care about the Kardashians again?”

How could you bring yourself to care about Khloe Kardashian's fab vacay with Tristan Thompson when the President of the United States is being investigated by the FBI? When funding for arts, education, healthcare and seniors is being cut? When a reality star is our President?

The Kardashian fam has been dominating pop culture for almost a decade now. However, they haven't been everyone's favorite news topic. Anytime the word "Kardashian" or "Jenner" appears on social media, there's hundreds of people commenting things like, "We don't care! There are more important things to worry about! I'm so sick of them!"

And while those comments usually overpower the actual news, people still care enough to look and comment. But ever since Trump sat down in the Oval Office, there's been bigger fish to fry.

While we love-to-hate (or hate-to-love) the Kardashian clan from afar, they're not exactly relatable. In a time where underprivileged Americans are losing their rights, it's not exactly appealing to watch a beautiful rich family get everything they want. After all, news is exhausting. The human brain can only consume so much drama in one day, right?

Fortunately, most Americans care about the well-being of their country more than the well-being of a rich family in Calabasas. Sorry, Kardashians! There's a new reality show in town...and the whole world is watching.
