You Can All Jump For Joy Because New Harry Potter Books Will Be Released THIS YEAR!
YOU HEARD US RIGHT. We know how sad you felt once you finished reading The Cursed Child, but as always, Rowling has something to keep you entertained while you (not-so-patiently) wait for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
You no longer have to suffer from Post-Potter-Depression because new Harry Potter books are coming out this year!
According to The Bookseller, three e-books under the headings "Pottermore Presents" were listed on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and the Apple iBook store. WE CANNOT STAY CALM!
All of the e-books are filled with short stories from J.K. Rowling, and are described as the following:
Short Stories From Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists

You can preorder this from Pottermore at Barnes & Noble.
Get the chance to see “a glimpse into the darker side of the wizarding world, revealing the ruthless roots of Professor Umbridge, the lowdown on the Ministers for Magic and the history of the wizarding prison Azkaban. You will also delve deeper into Horace Slughorn’s early years as Potions master at Hogwarts — and his acquaintance with one Tom Marvolo Riddle.”
Does this mean we get to see how Voldemort created his horcruxes? And the dark past of Umbridge? We're so here for this.
Hogwarts: An Incomplete And Unreliable Guide

You can preorder this from Pottermore at Barnes & Noble.
Ever wonder what Hogwarts is really like? This book has got you covered. It “takes you on a journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You’ll venture into the Hogwarts grounds, become better acquainted with its more permanent residents, learn more about lessons and discover secrets of the castle . . . all at the turn of a page.”
Short Stories From Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies

You can preorder this from Pottermore at Barnes & Noble.
We can already tell this one is going to be our favorite. It will include “stories of heroism, hardship and dangerous two of the Harry Potter stories’ most courageous and iconic characters: Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin. J.K. Rowling also gives us a peek behind the closed curtains of Sybill Trelawney’s life, and you’ll encounter the reckless, magical-beast-loving Silvanus Kettleburn along the way.”
We get to learn about Lupin AND McGonagall? This is everything we could've wanted and more.
The team at Pottermore decided to release these e-books so they can reach more people. “We’ve developed Pottermore Presents to to reach those fans through other channels,” the Pottermore spokesperson told The Bookseller. After all, a lot of fans decided they were done with the site after they took the official sorting hat quiz.
These three e-books are perfect reading material for any witch or wizard and will be available on September 8. (SO SOON!) In the meantime, we'll be waiting for Rowling to release a book focused on the marauders.
