Jennifer Aniston Crashed 'SNL' To Confront Vanessa Beyer About Her Rachel Impression
Nobody does Rachel like Rachel.
Jennifer Aniston crashed SNL on Saturday (Dec. 3) to air out her grievances against Vanessa Beyer, the star performer known for her dead-on impression of the Friends character.
Weekend Update was going according to plan. The hosts made a few decent jokes, a lot of terrible jokes, and finally introduced their guest, fake-Rachel.
After many ‘Oh ya ya hiiiis’, Beyer runs through some throwback references teasing the show’s structure & mocking Rachel’s character, before the Rachel comes out to a huge applause.
“Listen, honey, I know that you love Friends, and we had such a great time making our movie together,” Aniston says, referencing the duo’s upcoming film Office Christmas Party. “...but you know, Friends was like, five million and five years ago, and I think we’ve just got to move on.”
Beyer defends her impression for a second, which immediately sets Aniston off. “It kind of just sounds like you’re doing ‘Oh, what, oh, me, wow, oh, what!’” Basically it’s a meta moment of the real Rachel doing an impersonation of a fake Rachel. And it’s hysterical.
