Jennifer Aniston Drops a Few Truth Bombs About 'Friends' That We Bet You Never Knew About
🎶 So no one told you life was gonna be this way! 🎶 👏 👏 👏 👏
More than ten years after Friends wrapped up for good, its theme song is still one of our faves — but the show's biggest stars would beg to differ.
In a Monday night interview with BBC's The One Show, Jennifer Aniston, of all people, CRINGED when host Matt Baker brought up "I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrandts.
(Skip ahead to the 27:57 minute-marker to see her reaction.)
"No one was really a big fan of that theme song," she confessed, adding that the cast only filmed the quirky title sequence we all know and love "because we were told to."
"We felt it was a little... I don't know. Dancing in a pond? A fountain felt sort of odd," she admitted.
Odd to you, maybe, but ICONIC to us. Also, if they hated the song that much, what was the entire cast doing in the song's MUSIC VIDEO?
The only logical explanation is that everyone got "I'll Be There For You"-ed out.
Even though we can't relate to Aniston's aversion to the show's theme song (and never will!), we've been able to find common ground in our mutual love of binge-watching Friends reruns.
"I can't help it. First, I'm trying to remember which episode it is, and then half the time I'm saying to myself, 'I don't remember that,' " Aniston told Baker and his One Show cohost Alex Jones. "You get sucked into the nostalgia of it."
Toooooo real, Jen.
