"#MeToo": Jill Scott Tweets About Her Run-in With Harvey Weinstein

As tons of famous women continue to come forward about their harassment at the hands of Harvey Weinstein, Jill Scott chimed in to confirm that, yes, the famous producer has a habit of bulldozing over people’s boundaries—including hers!!!

Jill hopped on Twitter to recount a brief run-in with Weinstein. She says the man was “RUDE” and spoke to her in the “NASTIEST” tone. She was pregnant at the time, and Weinstein asked her “who told you to get pregnant?”

What does this question even mean? Does this man really think that he has THAT much control over women’s bodies? Or that he can say and do whatever rolls into his mind without consequences?

In any case, Weinstein has barely responded to the claims made against him. Interestingly enough, he released a statement only about Lupita Nyong’o’s accusations — Lupita is the only black woman to have written a detailed account of her experiences with him thus far. Weinstein claims that he “has a different recollection of the events.”

Jill’s story about Weinstein is short and sweet. She says that, after the initial meeting, she stayed away from him. 

“Power to all the women bullied by a**holes,” Miss Jill tweeted.

All we know is, it’s pretty hard to argue with so many different people’s stories saying the same thing about Harvey Weinstein.
