Justin Bieber's Mom Just Revealed What She REALLY Thinks About Selena Gomez

One of the more awkward aspects of being in a relationship can be winning over your boo’s family, but (unsurprisingly) Selena Gomez already has Justin Bieber’s mom hook, line, and sinker!

Pattie Mallette, the woman who brought the Biebs into this world, was caught by People magazine reporters outside a benefit lunch over the weekend. 

Given her child’s high-profile rekindled romance with the "Wolves" singer, the question interviewers had to ask was obvious: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT JELENA?

“I don’t know so much about their personal relationship because he doesn’t share a whole lot, but I love her,” Mallette dished Saturday, per Cosmopolitan. “I support anything [he does]. If he loves her, I love her, and I’ve met her and we have a special bond so I think she’s precious."

That answer’s as adorable as it is vague, but when she was pushed to give more deets, Mallette shut down: “I can’t really speak on their relationship; that’s between them.”

The never-ending drama between Gomez and Bieber took a positive turn in the past month or so: After Gomez had an amicable split from The Weeknd in late October, she was spotted hanging out with Bieber again for the first time in years. 

Sources close to the two superstars told Us Weekly that Gomez' life-threatening kidney transplant had something to do with their reunion — putting life into perspective and whatnot. 

Since their reconnection, the two haven’t been shy about appearing in public together, even giving fans the occasional glimpse of PDA.

Given their turbulent track record, you could be excused for not necessarily trusting that #Jelena is here to stay. According to Mallette, though, we’re witnessing a new Bieber: “I think he’s just keeping his focus on God, and really trying to figure out what counts and what matters,” she added during that aforementioned interview. 

“I think he’s trying to be somehow normal in such an abnormal world, trying to find that balance. I feel like he’s growing up and I’m really proud of him.”
