Kanye West Proves He Is No Longer A Trump Supporter
Yeezy has spoken.
Just two weeks into Trump’s term, Kanye has deleted every single message supporting the President from his Twitter account.
You’ll recall that Ye initially had positive feelings about our orange Commander in Chief. Hell, he even met with Trump in December to discuss “multicultural issues,” tweeting after the chat that they’d discussed, “bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago."
But as much as we all love Kanye, he’s not the stereotypical advisor a President takes notes from. The rapper caught a fair amount of heat for that meeting, especially from John Legend. “I don't think it's impossible to talk to [Trump] about issues, but I won't be used as a publicity stunt," said Mr. Chrissy Teigen. "I think Kanye was a publicity stunt."
"Whatever's in [Kanye’s] mind, I disagree with him.”
But despite all the criticism, Kanye hadn’t made any moves to distance himself from Trump -- until now.
After the most bombastic first two weeks in American Presidential history, Yeezy has apparently had enough. Every single tweet that references Trump in a positive way has been removed from the rapper’s account.
Sources say the straw that broke the camel’s back was the Muslim ban. Kanye has not publicly commented on the matter (minus the obvious deletions), and don’t hold your breath waiting for clarification; the rapper has been a recluse since his hospitalization. Reports say West won’t even be attending the upcoming Grammys, although he’s nominated for eight awards.
