This is so dope!!

Kendrick Lamar has had a huge year. And now, he's reaping the rewards at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. He opened the show, which set off a flurry of tweets. We knew we were in for one helluva night!

He beat out JAY-Z and many other superstars for the biggest awards...

Tony Bennett and John Legend presented Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna with the first trophy of the star-studded evening: Best Rap/Sung Performance.

“This is love, I appreciate every single last one of y’all out there,” Lamar said, turning to his collaborator, who stood behind him. “Hey Rihanna, what’s up? She came through and gassed me on that record, gassed me on my own song, man.”

The stunning singer said she was honored to do the record with him, adding, “Congrats. You deserve this, man.”

Lamar also took home the top trophy for Best Rap Album of the year. We knew it! But still—"Damn" had major competition with records by JAY-Z, Migos, Tyler, the Creator, and Rapsody rounding out the list of nominees.

This is Kendrick Lamar’s second win of the coveted trophy. He got Best Rap Album at the 2016 Grammys for To Pimp a Butterfly.

This year the rapper received seven nominations—the second-most in the field behind JAY-Z’s eight and he’s been winning all night! He snagged Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, Best Music Video (all for HUMBLE.), and the above-mentioned Best Rap/Sung Performance.
