KFC Is Creating A Fried Chicken Crust Pizza And We're So For It!

We've seen a lot of insane food mashups in our time, but in the past year or so, it seems like the fast food restaurant industry is in a sort of arms race to see who can come up with the most outrageous menu item! Seriously, look at basically anything on the Taco Bell menu and you'll be scratching your head like, "Where do they come up with this stuff?!"

In fact, just a few days after Taco Bell released their Naked Chicken Chalupa, which is basically a thinly sliced piece of fried chicken folded into a taco shell and filled with the usual taco fillings, KFC unveiled their own crazy food mashup: pizza with a fried chicken crust.

That's right; the divine food gods have answered our prayers and taken two of our favorite foods and combined them into one mega-dish!

According to KFC's website, the newest menu item, aptly named the Chizza, contains "100% chicken fillet, marinated, perfectly seasoned and cooked to a glorious gold, then layered with delicious pizza toppings such as pizza sauce, chicken ham, pineapple chunks, mozzarella and topped with signature KFC cheese sauce" and is "baked to perfection."

Umm, sweet mother of God! This looks pretty perfect to us!

Unfortunately, the Chizza is only currently available in Singapore, which is truly a bummer. Although, according to Asia One, this mad-scientist concoction originally debuted back in 2015 in the Philippines before making its way to Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and India, so maybe if we all keep our fingers crossed, we'll see it on U.S. menus soon!

This isn't the first time KFC has debuted some wild menu items. Back in 2010, the chicken chain shocked the fast food world when they released the KFC Double Down, which contains "bacon, two different kinds of melted cheese, the Colonel's secret sauce...pinched in between two pieces of Original Recipe chicken fillets."

Other weird menu items from around the world include the Cream Corn Cream Cheese Chicken Sandwich (Mexico), the Crispy Burrito (New Zealand), and the Cheese Top Burger (Philippines), which is basically a fried chicken sandwich with a piece of cheese on top of the bun. 

Okay KFC, it's your move: Bring the Chizza to the U.S.!
