Martellus Bennett Isn't Planning On Going To The White House With The Rest Of The Patriots
The Patriots (surprisingly) won the Super Bowl on Sunday, which means they're going to visit the White House to celebrate their big (yet unexpected) win. However, their teammate, Martellus Bennett, isn't planning on coming with them.
Last week, Bennett said it was "unlikely" he'd go to the White House if his team won, but now, he just confirmed he's planning on staying home.
“It is what it is. People know how I feel about it,” Bennett said. “Just follow me on Twitter.”
Bennett has always made one thing clear: he is not about that Trump life.
His teammate, Tom Brady, is known for being quite friendly with President Trump. When asked about how he deals with the political differences between him and his teammates, he said, “You just don’t bring that to work. We all have our beliefs. We accept people for who they are.”
What a class act. You might not agree with his decision, but Bennett isn't bothered by your opinion. After all, he is a Super Bowl champion.
