Meghan Markle was living the American dream. And now, she's poised to be a British princess. Doesn't get much better than this! Markle recently became engaged to Prince Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, and she is set to become  a member of the British royal family.

Many know Markle as an actress (Suits) and model. But her humanitarian achievements are nothing less than stellar having served as counsellor for international charity, One Young World.  She also spoke at the 2014 annual summit in Dublin on the topics of gender equality and modern-day slavery.

But Markle was always woke! Back in 1993 at age 11, she appeared on Nick News to talk about a sexist dish detergent commercial. Check out young Meghan.

Markle saw a problem with the opening line of the commercial: “Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans.” It gave the impression that washing dishes was solely a woman's job and Markle spoke up. “I don’t think it’s right for kids to grow up thinking these things that just Mom does everything,” she said. “It’s always ‘Mom does this’ and ‘Mom does that.’”

Markle wrote a letter to Ivory suggesting they change the word 'women' to 'people' and guess what...they did! It seems Meghan has always been a game changer. What a great addition to the royal family.
