Can We Talk About Meghan Trainor Living a '00 Kid's Dream?

We're starting to suspect that Meghan Trainor didn't put her voice to work to have a career in music. Oh no, we're thinking that she realized her voice could provide a life that only a kid who grew up in the '00s could dream of. Sure she won a Grammy this year, but does that really hold a candle to performing with one of the best boy bands of all time AND dating a former child star who grew up to surprise all of us with his sultry good looks? Hmm, maybe. While we're debating that, we're for sure that Meghan Trainor is living that '00 kid dream this year.

The summer months can be rough, y'all. Many shows are on hiatus and with Pretty Little Liars not being on every night of the week, you have to find other means of entertainment. With that, many stumbled upon ABC's Greatest Hits. Every week celebrated five years of music from the past, and every week saw artists from then partnering with artists from today to sing classic songs. So the first week out fangirls everywhere tuned in because Backstreet Boys were going to be on. Then who shows up to sing their signature hit "I Want It That Way"? You guessed it, Meghan. Appearing like the long lost sixth member, she looked like every girl outside of TRL back in the day as she stood on that stage. Calm on the outside, you could see the excitement in her face.

If that wasn't enough fast forward to a few months later and focus in on her love life. While she may have made out with Charlie Puth at the American Music Awards, he is legit just a friend. We know this because word on the street is that Meghan has been spending a lot of time with Spy Kids' Daryl Sabara. Yes, the little brother from Spy Kids. The kid we knew as Juni growing up has grown up, and today you would hardly recognize him! What else could Meghan Trainor do in 2016 to continue living out this dream life of hers? Make Skechers cool again? Oh wait, she's already done that with that catchy commercial.

Fancy footwear, boy band performances, dating a signature child star from the '00s. We'd like to invite Meghan to continue to live out this dream because we're enjoying watching, but if we could... could we ask that she somehow resurrect The O.C., give us a Crossroads sequel, and make those butterfly hair clips more readily available again?
