Melania Trump Can't Even Get A Hug From A Sweet Little Girl At A Hospital

Poor Melania just can’t catch a break.

The wife of America’s controversial President (that's putting it mildly) was just shut down hard – by an elementary school girl.

The First Lady made a trip to the New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in honor of National Read Across America Day, which falls on Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

Melania explained to the wee little ones why she was there: “Do you know what is today? It’s reading day. So it’s reading day and I came here to encourage everyone to read, and to just think about books and what you want to achieve in life and just extend your horizon and think very, very outside of the box.”

And so, in keeping with the day’s theme, Melania read the kids Oh, the Places You’ll Go.  By all accounts, the visit was a success.

Until one little girl decided to throw shade.

At around the 0:25 mark, Melania drops down in front of a tiny child and goes in for the hug. But the kid’s not buying it. It appears Melania then out-and-out asks if she wants a hug – rejection again, this time in the form of repeated head shakes.

Finally, as a last ditch hail mary, Melania asks if she can at least get a picture with the tyke. Response: more nope.

This feels like the political version of being friendzoned. #SaveMelania
