Mos Def Arrested in S. Africa for Trying to Use a 'World Passport' -- What the Hell is That?!

Mos Def is mos def in serious trouble right now. He was arrested and banned from South Africa for 5 years for trying to use a "World Passport" to leave the country.

Uh... what the hell is a "World Passport?"

Well, it's a document issued by the World Service Authority, a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. Basically, it's FAKE, just like you thought.

Mos Def -- aka Dante Smith aka Yasiin Bey -- reportedly has been living in Cape Town since 2013. But South African immigration officials say he's overstayed his Visitor Visa on his U.S. passport, so now it's time to go!

They've given him 14 days to leave the country... or else.
