NeNe Killed It On Broadway! 8 Other Musicals She NEEDS To Star In

Remember when NeNe slayed her performance on Broadway, not once, but twice?!

First, she brought her fiercest mean girl to "Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella" in the role of Madame, aka Evil Stepmother.

Fast forward a year, and NeNe is back on the grand stage serving up sass in "Chicago" as Matron "Mama" Morton.

 

It's been about a year now since New York audiences got to experience the force that is NeNE, and it's time to bring her back! Any of these shows would be a perfect fit for Miss Leakes.

1. "Cats" as Grizabella

The costume would look great AND NeNe would have a blast belting out this classic show tune.

2. "Les Misérables" as Madame Thénardier

You gotta be aggressive to play this role as Madame Thénardier is just as crazy as her husband. 

3. "A Chorus Line" as Zach

While Zach is usually played by a gentleman, we think a woman could do the part beautifully! Zach is harsh and judgmental, unafraid to be critical of the auditioning dancers. NeNe will do just fine!

4. "Mamma Mia!" as Tanya

We can totally see a hot young guy hitting on NeNe, not realizing he's in way over his head. Plus, the character is rich and fabulous. Type casting!

5. "Beauty and the Beast" as Mrs. Potts

We'll have to wait about a decade for NeNe to age (though, we're sure she'll still look young as ever), but we so want to see her singing the classic number. "Tale as old as time..." 

6. "Wicked" as Madame Morrible

After playing the Evil Stepmother, NeNe has proven she can play badass bitches. Madame Morrible would fit perfectly on her theatrical resume. 

7. "Hairspray" as Motormouth Maybelle

NeNe already has experience playing a role that Queen Latifah played in a movie. I want it to happen again!

8. "Annie" as Miss Hannigan 

Nobody cares about the little orphans, because Miss Hannigan steals the entire show! Whoever plays this part must be super comfortable in the spotlight. Enter Kween NeNe!
