"Never An 'Oops' Baby": Nick Cannon Dishes On His Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend!

Nick Cannon is about to have another little boy. But was it on purpose?

The America’s Got Talent host explained his newest situation to Power 106FM, talking at length about his former girlfriend’s recently announced pregnancy. And, according to him, he doesn’t make kids by mistake -- even when they’re with his exes.

Confused by that? Ya, so were we, so here’s his explanation for ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell’s pregnancy:

“Never an ‘oops baby. I’m so calculated with my moves … I’ve always wanted five kids … Just because my marriage was over didn’t mean I couldn’t continue to grow a family. I wanted to make sure it was someone who was solid, spiritual and had the same views. She’s a friend. She’s been in my life. Our families grew up in the same projects together in San Diego. So there’s a lot of substance to it.”

So then, for Nick, having kids with your friends is totally legit. How modern.

This obviously isn’t Cannon’s only family. If you’ve saw any gossip magazine cover in the past several years, you know the entertainer was famously married to Mariah Carey. They share two children already.

“Mariah, Moroccan and Monroe will always be my family,” said Cannon in the same interview, “but we always can have other aspects of our family.”

The next question was obviously how his notoriously shouty ex-wife took the news of this incoming addition to the clan. According to Nick, it went as well as anyone could hope:

“She came at me first about it, so it was actually easier. I wasn’t even talking about it. I don’t know how she heard about it, but she called me, and she was funny with it. She was like, ‘Mhmmm, I heard about you out here in these streets.’”

Well then, all’s well that ends well. Only two more kids to go!
