We're well into summer, which begs the question: Have you had your romantic fling yet? If you have, awesome! If you're like me and still waiting, you're not alone. But as we wait, there's no harm in preparing for that magical first date. Here are some questions you should NEVER EVER ask him on the date:

1. Do you like my outfit?

This just sounds like you're asking for a compliment. If he compliments you, awesome! If he doesn't, don't ask a question that basically calls out the fact he didn't. Be confident in your outfit. If he doesn't like it, that's on him.

2. Are you voting for Clinton or Trump?

I think it's important to talk politics with your significant other. However, this dude isn't your significant other yet, and bringing up politics could lead to a heated argument. That's not the kind of heat you want on an initial date.

3. What's your ex like?

He's on a date with you. Why in the world are you asking about his ex?!

4. Have you ever been in love?

It's a first date. If love is already on your mind, he'll probably run. Let love and talk of love come up naturally. On a first date, such conversation never happens naturally. Don't force it.

5. What're your thoughts on commitment?

You sound a bit crazy if you ask this. And by "a bit crazy," I mean you sound legit insane.

6. How do you think this date's going?

If you have to ask, I promise you it isn't going well.

7. What's your GPA?

Instead of asking about this detail, just listen to his conversation to determine whether or not he's smart. GPAs tell you more about study habits than they do about intelligence. Also, it just comes off as rude to ask about it.

8. Do you think God exists?

That's a pretty loaded question. There are other ways to talk about faith and religion. Asking such a blunt questions makes you seem socially inept.

9. Do you believe in love at first sight?

If he does, asking this question will ensure he doesn't fall in love with you at first sight. Some things are better left unsaid and unasked.

At the end of the day, it's important to just be yourself and relax. The date will go how it goes. Follow the flow and see where it leads. That's all you have to do. Who knows? You may soon end up in a passionate lip-lock like:
