NFL Star Quinton Spain Says A Woman Drugged, Robbed Him Of Over $100K In Jewelry

The title of this post probably has you shaking your head already. Is this not one of the most stereotypical stories that you haven't even heard yet? If it weren't for the police report that the NFL's Tennessee Titans star Quinton Spain had to file for his insurance claim, we probably would have ever known that he was drugged and robbed in the process of chasin' tail.

Not only did he pass out before he could close the deal, but it cost him $113,000 worth of jewelry.

While the 25-year-old was in Orlando for the NFL Pro Bowl weekend, Spain and some of his friends hit a nightclub and met a young woman. According to the Orlando Sentinel, she joined the entourage as they went club-hopping.

Spain told police that she was being sexually aggressive (of course she wanted him, right?) all evening. Like most ballers would do, Spain invited her back to his hotel room. They decided to pour some libations and partake. The drink of choice? You guessed it: Hennessy.

Now maybe this is just a rookie mistake, but Spain let HER pour the second round. Whatever it was that she put in that drink knocked him out pretty quickly. The only thing he remembered when he woke up several hours later was the woman telling him to strip. That's when the offensive lineman discovered that both of his gold chains and his watch were missing. The chains were worth $73,000 and the Rolex cost him a cool $40,000.

Now before you go labeling Spain a mark, a simp, or a pawn, keep in mind that this "drug 'em, don't love 'em" scam is a new trend in the Orlando area. Less than a week before Spain got "got," another man named Wade Malcolm was robbed after a woman he met at a bar joined him in his hotel room and dropped a lil' sumthin' in his vodka. She then made off with his Rolex, credit cards, $500 in cash, and his tablet. That same weekend, yet another man became an unwilling target being drugged and robbed of his $10,000 Rolex.

Anybody noticing a pattern here? Look. Obviously, this is a thing. Because it's easy, low-risk, and has apparently a high payoff, it will probably catch on in every city across America where men with means look to pick-up women for one-nighters. Gentlemen, the tides have turned and these women are now on the offensive. If you don't want to be a victim of these pretty predators, then you might want to pass on picking up strange women in bars. Jus' sayin'.
