Nick Cannon Finally Speaks Out On Mariah Carey & James Packer Split

If your ex is going through a breakup, you’re likely going to have an opinion about it.

So when news of Mariah Carey and James Packer’s split went public, everyone immediately looked to Nick Cannon for a reaction -- and he's finally spoken out.

The question came up in an interview for Extra, and Cannon handled it with grace: “Yea. It’s all love. You know how that is. I think the media comes up with all this speculation and stuff, but everybody is keeping it moving… that’s what it’s all about.”

Obviously no one in this trio is new to the spotlight. Both Carey and Cannon have been superstars for seemingly forever, and James Packer is a mega-huge businessman from Australia. So all this scrutiny is nothing new.

“Man, you know how it goes. It’s just like it’s something new every day,” says Cannon. “The news cycle is always something for some reason, I’m constantly in it. It doesn’t bother me because I don’t really, I don’t feed off of it — I’m an open book.”

ICYMI, Carey and Packer split after a fight in Greece. There’d been rumors of Mariah’s cheating and blowing money, but the former couple tried to squash all that with a statement: 

“Mariah and James had a fight in Greece, and have not seen each other since. The fight was not because of any cheating allegations or excessive spending by Mariah. James is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. They are trying to work it out. Right now, they’re not sure if they will stay together. They are discussing it, and plan to release an official statement together about their future."
