Obama Is Chilling On This Super-Exclusive Tropical Island While He Writes His Book
@barackobama

After 8 years of dealing with all our nonsense, can you really blame him for going into hiding?

Greatest President in History, Barack Obama is reportedly holed up on a remote Pacific island, working on his book and taking some well-earned R&R.

Barry had a brief layover in Hawaii before making it to an island called Tetiaroa. Never heard of it? Don’t worry, neither has anyone else.

And that’s kind of the point. The next closest island is Tahiti, over 30 miles away. The former President clearly wants a little privacy.

He’s reportedly taking this luxurious reprieve to work on his memoir, which, along with a book due from Michelle, sold for a record-setting $60 million. So obviously he can afford a tropical getaway, no matter how expensive it may be – rooms on Tetiaroa start at $2,800 per night, but can run as high as $13,300. There are 35 villas on the island, and the entire place is 100% eco-friendly. Amenities include a spa, coral garden, and something called Mermaid Bay, which sounds like the greatest thing ever.

And while you may not have heard the island’s proper name before, you’ll probably recognize the resort’s namesake: The Brando.

That’s right, actor Marlon Brando purchased this island (as one does) sometime around 1960. After his death in 2004, a hotel company purchased the island and turned it into a hyper-exclusive resort.

Long story short, it’s good to be Barack.
