Family Mourns: Off Duty Cop Shoots & Kills Unarmed 21-Year-Old Man In Bowling Alley
It's happened again...a Cleveland mother is mourning the death of her son after he was shot and killed by an off duty police officer. According to Cleveland 19 News, Thomas Yatsko, was killed at the Corner Alley Bowling Alley and Bar in University Circle. Sgt. Dean Graziolli, who was working his second job at the east side bowling alley, was identified as the officer who shot and killed Yatsko.
According to police, it started around 11pm when Yatsko reportedly got into a fight and was kicked out of the bar. Then, reportedly, Yatsko, returned inside and attacked Graziolli who then shot Yatsko.
These actions don't line up with how family and friends describe Yatsko. His younger brother, Anthony, 17-years-old, says, “He was a good mentor, he was hard on us. He always told us, ‘Don’t make mistakes."
The details are still fuzzy. Worse, Yatsko's mother didn't find out about the death of her son until news reporters started calling.
Sgt. Graziolli's is no stranger to unethical dealings. He was demoted for a year from his position for staying at home when he was supposed to be at work. Graziolli was also indicted by a county grand jury on 11 criminal counts, including theft in office and dereliction of duty.
At this time, there are more questions than answers. Hopefully, justice will be served for Yatsko. #RestInPowerThomasYatsko
