OMG. Did you catch that speech? Did you?!! #TimesUp

Oprah Winfrey’s Cecil B. DeMille award win at the Golden Globes marks a truly historical Hollywood event. The award, given out by the Hollywood Foreign Press, recognizes “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.” The 63-year-old megastar is the first Black woman ever to be honored since the award’s inception in 1952.

What’s more, she is only the fifteenth woman to win, joining the ranks of Meryl Streep, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, and Barbra Streisand.

In her moving speech, which garnered a massive standing ovation from Hollywood’s elite, Oprah thanked those who inspired her—from her mother, to the women who have “uncovered the absolute truth” referencing the #MeToo movement. “What I know for sure is, speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have,” she said. She added words of caution to powerful oppressors: "Your time is up!!!"

These are just a few of Queen Oprah’s accomplishments:

  • She hosted the Oprah Winfrey Show for over 20 years
  • Founded a magazine (O, The Oprah Magazine)
  • Launched a TV network (Oprah Winfrey Network)
  • Is a co-anchor on CBS' 60 Minutes

She’s starred in award-winning films like The Color Purple, she produced Selma, and she will be playing Mrs. Which in Ava DuVernay’s upcoming adaptation of the classic children’s book, A Wrinkle in Time.

By Oprah’s side at the Golden Globes were best friend Gayle King and longtime partner Stedman Graham. And at her feet? THE WORLD!!!

Seriously…Oprah PREACHED in her speech and she brought the house down!!! Twitter’s going nuts.
