'Overwatch' Launches Its Holiday Event! They Are Giving Away Exclusive Gifts Featuring Game Characters

It's that time of the year when the radio, the mall, and commercials all want you to be VERY clear it's time for the holidays. You've heard the songs over and over, you're blinded by decorations, and you're stressed with gift lists and plans.

If only your video games could give you some kind of present as well...turns out, they can! "Overwatch" is bringing you a holiday party that starts today, December 13th, and runs for weeks!

From now until January 2nd, when you pop into "Overwatch" and play a game, you will get a Winter Loot Box.

Just look at these bundles of joy, they definitely don't have socks in them. What they do have are one of over 100 different holiday themed items! Do those include character skins? Of course they do!

Once you get an item, it's yours forever, so if you want to feel the cheer in July that's an option! Both Hanaura and King's Row maps have also been totally winterized to help you deck the halls (with eliminated enemies).

There will also be an opportunity to put down the missile launchers and revolvers and throw down in a good old fashioned snowball fight! 

In Mei's Snowball Offensive, you've got one shot to hit someone with a snowball, and then you're vulnerable as you search for snowballs to reload. The ultimate? A semi-automatic snowball gun!
