Lawd Hammercy!! Pastor Allegedly Steals Over $300K From Church Coffers
We know Pastor gotta get paid, but this too much! About $332,000 too much!
Executive pastor, Riley Brown, allegedly stole $332,000 out of the church's coffers over a 27 month period. According to USA Today, officials of Broadmoor Baptist Church said the "transactions" were discovered when the church underwent an internal policy review in September. Glad they caught up with him when they did because this dude was definitely raking in the cash.

Of course, Brown could not be reached for comment. But get this y'all, according to USA Today, on his LinkedIn page it reads: "seeking a new start." Um...Ok. He also describes himself as a "strong business development professional." Looks like he left out some of his other work history details...but we digress.
Pastor Brown put the board members of Broadmoor Baptist Church in a tough spot. Do they take legal action and go after Brown for the money he stole or do they show grace and forgive? Well, in a statement released by Broadmoor, church officials are handing over the investigation to the Mississippi Department of Revenue and the IRS. However, they are not pressing criminal charges against Brown. The church explains it's middle ground position in the released statement saying "While we choose not to press criminal charges against this individual, we will fully cooperate with prosecutors if it is independently pursued."
What do y'all think? Did Pastor Brown get off easy?
