Petty! Dude Grades His Ex-Girlfriend's Apology Letter & Shares It With The World
The depths of pettiness knows no bounds. Truth be told, if you're not careful, you'll find yourself deeper than you could have ever imagined. That's what happened to Nick Lutz after he decided to grade a letter his ex-girlfriend wrote him shortly after their break up.
Yes, you read that correctly: this man took out a red pen to school his ex's apology. Multiple levels of awkward, several layers of why, and just a few more levels of WTF. What's more is he decided to tweet his corrections. Every single mark. Just see below, some of these comments are just brutal.
Nick, who has come to realize it wasn't in anyone's best interest to publicly share the apology, attends the University of Central Florida. He says of the relationship: "We started dating in February of last year and dated for about eight months. Four months in she started hiding her phone and I heard she had code names for guys in her contacts list."
"I feel a little but guilty but at the same time, I don't believe the letter at all," Nick continued. "I've been lied to before by her. I feel like it was another way to make me feel like I was stupid."
When Newsbeat asked him if he regretted sharing the personal letter on social media, Nick said: "Yes I do. I would say so."
Just a few of Nick's criticisms include: "long intro," "while the gesture is appreciated, I would prefer details over statements," "lackadaisical handwriting," "short conclusion," and, a sure crow-pleaser, the final grade: D-. Ha! Nick, you play way too much.

Originally meant to be a joke between friends, this annotated post-break up went viral, and quick: the original post on twitter has been retweeted more than 100,000 times! So much for being low-key. Nick noted, "[my ex-girlfriend's] not the happiest but I didn't expect it to go viral. She talks to my mum but I haven't spoken to her and I'm not sure I will."
If you're going to be petty and mean, you're going to end up paying for it somehow. In Nick's, he regrets the unwanted attention, but there's probably a good chance this is going to come back and haunt him in some other way eventually. In a strange turn of events, though, it seems to be working out in his favor... He, at least, peaked this woman's interest:
