Phaedra Parks Says She's Totally Done With 'RHOA,' Revealing The Show Made Her Physically Ill
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks just told TMZ that she wants nothing else to do with the hit Bravo reality show, claiming that being on the show made her literally sick.
The 44-year-old attorney was caught by the gossip site's cameramen at LAX over the weekend and asked point-blank if she’d ever consider returning to RHOA. Her answer was pretty straightforward.
“I have no desire to,” she dished. “I mean, I’ve turned the page. I love being happy. I love living drama-free. I mean, my kids are happy, I'm able to enjoy life, you know?”
Parks didn’t leave the show voluntarily, FYI: She was fired this past spring after she brought the wrong kind of drama to the RHOA cast, specifically (and egregiously) by claiming her costars Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker were scheming to drug and rape Porsha Williams.
At the end of the day, though, the real deal-breaker was the rest of the cast’s feelings toward Parks: “When the reunion ended, none of the other women wanted to have anything to do with her," showrunner Andy Cohen had told E! News in May. "So that's what you have to look at. How do you shoot a show about a group of friends when no one is speaking to one of the friends?”
Still, it sounds like the separation may have been a good thing for Parks’ health: “It makes you sick sometimes," she told TMZ, "'cause it’s a lot to deal with.”
That’s part of the reason why she holds the women of reality TV in such high esteem.
“Any woman that does reality should be congratulated and praised, 'cause honey, it’s a lot to it and people don’t really understand until they have done it," Parks added.
What do you think of Phaedra’s new opinion towards RHOA?
